When contacted, the FCT police spokesperson, ASP Mariam Yusuf, confirmed the incident, saying deployments of security personnel has been made to the flash point, urging residents to remain calm as the command was doing everything possible to keep them and their properties safe.
Meanwhile, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has appealed to residents in the territory to uphold the ideals of the capital city, which he said are unity and oneness in order to foster peaceful co-existence.
Bello, who spoke while inspecting the level of damage caused by hoodlums in the Apo-Wumba-Waru and Dutsen Alhaji violence on Tuesday, also promised to set up a committee to evaluate the cost of damage to property and ensure compensations are made to the victims.
