At least one person was confirmed dead and five sustained serous injuries in a fatal motor accident at Olootu Agbe near Ikeji Arakeji in Osun State on Thursday.
The accident involved a Mercedez truck with registration number BDG 123 XA and a Toyota Sienna car with registration number EKY 482 GG.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), arrived at the scene on time and were assisted by policemen and men of Osun State Ambulance Service in the rescue operation.
The five persons that sustained injuries were taken to hospital for treatment while the corpse of the deceased was deposited at the morgue at Wesley Hospital Ilesha.
The spokesperson of the FRSC in the state, Agness Ogungbemi confirm the incident.
She said the accident was caused by overspending and wrongful overtaking.
Ogungbemi appealed to motorists to always avoid overspeeding and wrong overtaking on the highway.
