One person died Monday in an accident involving a cement truck, which plunged into Ososa River in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State. 

The development led to diversion of traffic along the Sagamu-Benin expressway. 

The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe confirmed the accident to journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital. 

Okpe, who blamed the accident on over speeding, said the body of the victim had been recovered from the river.
