One corpse recovered in Zangon Kataf

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have reported the killing of one local between Zangon Urban and Ungwan Ruhogo, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The victim, Adamu Bala, was killed by unknown persons after he went fishing at the river in the said location on Monday 12th April 2021.

His corpse was found on the river bank on Tuesday 13th April 2021 and had since been buried.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan in a statement said Governor Nasir El-Rufai noted the report with sadness, and condoled the family of the deceased, while praying for the repose of his soul.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing,” he added.

The incident happened after one herder was reportedly killed on Tuesday in a counter-killing at Sabanfan village of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.

Reports say the herder, Kaminu Suleiman, was macheted to death by unknown assailants while grazing his herd.
