Ondo varsity reopens after trailer accident

The management of the Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA, Akungba-Akoko has reopened the university.

The authorities of the university have therefore directed that  the 2019/2020 First Semester Examinations earlier postponed will now commence on Wednesday, 24th February 2021.

This was contained in a circular released by the Acting Registrar of the institution, Opeoluwa Akinfemwa.

Recall that the University was shut after a Dangote truck suffered brake failure and rammed into vehicles outside the institution on Saturday, January 23, 2021.

At least nine students died in the accident out of which three of the students are from the same mother.

Students of the Institution on January 24 began a protest which forced the management of AAUA to embark on an indefinite closure of the institution.
