Ondo State Governor Dr Olusegun Mimiko says his government will fix some federal government roads including the Akure-Ado Ekiti road.
Mimiko said the move would ease vehicular movement on the Akure -Ado Ekiti federal road, even as the state is being owed about N7b expended on federal roads it earlier fixed.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos yesterday, the governor said contractors had been mobilized to ensure completion of the Oba-Ile -airport dual carriage way within the next three months.
According to him, another road linking the recently opened Akure Shopping Mall on the Secretariat-Igbatoro Road is being dualised from the Iyeomo plaza road end of the capital through Parliament hotel-Arcade road, to the Mall where the popular Shoprite store is also located.
Mimiko said already, the state’s asphalt company had completed the drainage on the road and should commence asphalt laying this week.
