Ondo Reps seek Tinubu’s intervention to save Akerodolu’s legacies

Members of the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state as a result of infighting among its members.

They made the call in an open letter to the President signed by six members of the Caucus made available to journalists in Abuja on Friday.

The six members of the caucus include; Adesida Abiodun Cornelius Aderin (Akure North/South); Timehin Adelegbe (Owo/Ose); Festus Adefiranye Ayodele (Ileoluji- Okeigbo/Odigbo); Ojogo Donald Kimikanboh (Ilaje/ Ese- Odo); Odimayo Okunjimi John (Okitipupa/Irele) and Adegboyega Adefarati (Akoko south West/ South East) federal constituencies.

In the letter, the lawmakers appealed to President Tinubu to help save the legacies of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu against destruction by his successor, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The letter reads in parts, “Mr. President, we would like to bring to your attention the unfortunate lack of respect displayed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa towards the late former governor of our esteemed state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON.”

According to the lawmakers, what is going on is undermining the APC in the state because many agreements reached have allegedly been broken while the new administration is allegedly working to undo all what the late governor did in the state.
