The Ondo State Police Command has said that it will ensure the law takes its course as it begins investigation into a case of a trigger happy policeman who allegedly shot dead a truck driver in Uso near Owo some days ago.
The policeman whose identity is yet to be made public was said to have shot at the truck driver over argument concerning money matter.
The command spokesman Femi Joseph had apologised to the people of the state for the action of the policeman saying the command would not shield him.
The state commissioner of police, Undie Adie, said he has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident and the suspected officer would be made to face the wrath of the law.
The alleged murder occurred at about 1.30pm on Monday.
There was public outcry which trailed the incident and the command said they were thoroughly embarrassed by his action.
