Ondo govt reacts to FG’s declaration on Amotekun

The Ondo State Government on Tuesday said it would be too quick to react to any news on the federal government’s declaration that the recently launched ‘Operation Amotekun’ illegal.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, in a telephone interview told Daily Trust that since they did not know the person who was said to have issued the said statement, they need to be careful in reacting to it.

According to him, “since the authenticity of the statement is not yet known, it is difficult to talk on it.”
