The Ondo State governorship candidate of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), says if he is elected, women in the state will be engaged in governance.
He said that women would be encouraged to take up responsibilities.
Jegede, speaking in Akure, yesterday, said that women would be empowered under his government through micro credit scheme, adding: “We would also take a look at our protective laws for the womenfolk, especially considering what they go through in terms of inheritance, owning personal property and commerce.”
