The House of Representatives recently passed for second reading, a bill proposing a 5-month widowhood leave to allow widows or widowers to mourn their husbands or wives as the case may be.
For the House to be proposing five good months which is barely half a year for a so-called widowhood leave is ludicrous! I’m not sure any organization would be ready to allow any of its staff to stay off work for five months in the name of mourning. The House must have a rethink on this particular bill.
