Oluwo rejoices with Musikilu Mojeed on Emergence as IPI President

The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has congratulated the Iwo-born media practitioner and Editor-in-Chief of Premium Times, Musikilu Mojeed, on his emergence as the President of the Nigeria chapter of the International Press Institute (IPI)

Musikilu became IPI’s new president at the institute’s general assembly held on Thursday in Abuja. He emerged unopposed.

Expressing his heartfelt felicitation in s statement his Press Secretary, Alli Ibrahim, issued on his behalf, Oba Akanbi prayed that Iwo sons and daughters would keep moving to higher heights.

He further enjoined them to positively use their respective office to affect Iwo as he prayed for wisdom greater than that of Solomon to successfully administer the institute constructively.

“I congratulate Mr. Musikilu Mojeed on his emergence as the President of International Press Institute (IPI). I have no doubt in his ability to effectively administer the union and further strengthen objective journalism not only in Nigeria but the world at large.”

Mojeed was elected alongside Ahmed Shekarau, General Manager, Business of Daily Trust.

Shekarau is the secretary of the prestigious institute.
