The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi and the Asiwaju of Iwo, Alhaji Liad Tela, on Monday laid the foundation of the National Library in Iwo.
The National Library was facilitated to the town by Senator Adelere Oriolowo (APC, Osun West).

Oluwo noted that his less than five-year reign had been so fruitful and productive.
He described the senator as promoter of quality governance as he encouraged other public office holders to borrow a leaf from him.
He called on well-meaning sons and daughters of Iwoland to encourage government through cooperation as well as protection of public and private properties.
The monarch lauded President Muhammed Buhari for locating the Federal College of Education and the National Library in Iwo.
Oluwo challenged the youth to be peaceful in their conduct, noting that Iwo is always known for hospitality.
He said: “The season of joy is here in Iwo. I’m the happiest person seeing the coming of many federal presence to Iwo. Within my less than 5-year on throne, we’ve gotten Federal College of Education, National Library while we hope to get more. Iwo and her people is thirsty. My people are still hungry for more development”
