Oluwo lauds Buhari, Oyetola, others for situating FCE in Iwo

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, on behalf of his community, yesterday commended President Muhammed Buhari for situating a Federal College of Education in Iwo, State of Osun.

“This singular decision has convinced me to do more and better in supporting the success of his (Buhari’s) administration,” Oluwo said in a statement by his media aide, Alli Ibrahim.

He thanked Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola for trusting the town’s ability to host the institution, saying “he has convinced us more. We’ll continue to support his dream for the state. The stage is for him, he should ride on. He’s a leader of reckon, very productive and defined. He should continue to count on our support as usual.”

He assured the Federal Government of Iwo community’s support for a smooth take-off of the college, noting that his town “has more than enough expanse of land for the project.”

The monarch also commended Senator Adelere Oriolowo (Osun West) and Honourable Yinusa Amobi representing Iwo Federal Constituency for their roles.

He charged his subjects to exercise alacrity and work with the government to “build the most beautiful FCE in Nigeria”; and the Osun State Ministry of Education to synergize with the Federal Ministry of Education for the smooth take-off.

“I liken the accomplishment to a house project. The architect, bricklayers, carpenters, tilers etc has different role to play. I commend everyone for making themselves available at the point of need. You have all made an immeasurable, unforgettable history,” he said.

He also appreciated the roles played by former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Chief Bisi Akande; the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; the Executive Secretary of the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative; Waziri Adio and the Asiwaju Musulumi of Iwoland, Alhaji Liad Tella.
