Oluwo charges subjects on synergy to aid growth

The paramount ruler of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1, has charged indigenes of Iwo to collaborate and work in synergy to aid the growth of the ancient town.

Oba Akanbi gave the charge at the 5-year development agenda retreat organised by Iwo Board of Trustees as part of moves to take the town to greater heights.

Oluwo said towns and communities must strive to make life better for their people rather than waiting endlessly for the government to accomplish their goals.

He said, “Development and growth can never be achieved without proper brainstorming and meticulous planning.

“Iwo is a beautiful land with so much potential, human and natural resources. It falls on us as a people and at this point in time to harness these resources for both immediate and future use,” he said.

The President of Iwo Board of Trustees, Professor Lai Olurode said the major objective of the retreat was to build consensus across diverse groups in the Iwo political economy.
