Oluwo charges indigenes on patriotism, oneness

The Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi has charged indigenes of Iwo to be patriotic and strive for progress of the town.

Speaking at the 32nd Iwo Day Celebration on Saturday, Oba Akanbi urged Iwo indigenes to unite and work together for growth and development of Iwoland.

The traditional ruler called on all eligible indigenes across the country and those in diaspora to ensure they register and obtain their voter cards in Iwo to increase the chance of Iwo in future elections.

The president, Iwo Board of Trustees (BOT), Prof. Lai Olurode and the chairperson of Day Planning Committee, Olori lyabo Lamuye also charged indigenes of Iwo on cooperation and collaboration to move the town to higher heights.
