The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced the appointment of Dr. Olayiwola Oladapo as the Acting Registrar/CEO, taking over from the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Ajibola Ponnle.
A statement from the institute said Ponnle has been appointed by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the new Commissioner for Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions.
According to the statement, Ponnle’s appointment comes after she has served as the Registrar/CEO of CIPM for two years.
“Through this period, she engaged a number of initiatives that further expanded the institute’s frontiers and promoted the CIPM brand,” the statement read.
Mrs. Ponnle has handed over to Dr Oladapo as Acting Registrar/CEO of the institute.
The statement added that Oladapo was the former Director, Strategy, Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations of CIPM.
“Dr. Oladapo comes with high recommendation, having over 20 years of professional experience that cut across both public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy. He is a strategy, human and organizational development, policy management professional, a transformational thought leader and international speaker who holds a master’s degree in Research and Public Policy (MRPP) from University of Lagos.
“He has led several organizational transformation and human capital development projects for some of the Fortune 500 companies operating units in Nigeria that include Exxon Mobil, Shell, British American Tobacco, and Peugeot, to mention a few.
“As a development professional, he was the lead consultant in many organizations, strengthening public sector systems reform and change management projects having worked on programmes sponsored and funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the EU for the Nigerian government,” the statement read.
