A former Director General of the Peter Obi 2023 Presidential Campaign Organization, Dr Doyin Okupe, has responded to Senator Ali Ndume’s statement on the relocation of certain parastatals to Lagos by the federal government.
Okupe, through his official X account (formerly Twitter), revealed that Ndume called him, and they had a lengthy discussion about the proposed move.
He tweeted, “Sen Ndume @Malindume called me & we spoke candidly for more than 30 mins. I am impressed by his disposition, candour, and loyalty to his party and Mr. President.
“He means well, but obviously there are lapses in the Presidency that have not engendered better consultations on policies. He has my respect.”

Previously, while reacting to the planned relocation of the parastatals to Lagos, Doyin Okupe supported the move by the federal government.
He said, “Ours is a fragile democracy, and from the first republic to date, leaders of this nation have managed our national stability and unity with great circumspection and forbearance.”
