Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has terminated the appointment of key cabinet staff seeking to stand elections next year.
Top on the list are his Chief of Staff, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and Secretary to the Government of Imo state, Chief George Eche.
A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, gave the names of other affected appointees as Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Paschal Chigozie Obi, Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) Hon. Kingsley Uju, Commissioner for Trade & Investment/Commerce, Chief Emma Ojinero, and Commissioner for Information. Prof. Nnamdi Obiareri.
Others are Commissioner for Gender/Social Development, Mrs. Ngozi Njoku, Commissioner for Market Development, Lady Joy Mbawuike, Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Dan Nworie, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Obinna Mbata, Special Adviser on Urban Renewal, Hon. Simeon Iwunze, Special Assistant General Duties, Barr. Obinna Amagwula and Special Assistant Finance, Pst. (Mrs) Betty Uzoma
The statement quoted the governor as wishing them well in their future endeavours.
