Okobi urges Falconets to better predecessors in Mundial

Super Falcons striker Ngozi Okobi has urged the Falconets which defeated South Africa 3-1 in Johannesburg to earn a ticket to next year’s U20 Mundial in Papua New Guinea to better the achievement of the 2014 FIFA World Cup team that lost at the final of the tournament in Canada.
Nigeria led by CAF and BBC female player of the year Asisat Oshoala impressed on their way to the final only to narrowly miss out on the trophy courtesy an agonising 1-0 loss to Germany.
“I already told you South Africa cannot stop the girls from qualifying, all the same congratulations to the team for an amazing achievement and hopefully they’ll bring the cup home this time around” Okobi told Fever Pitch yesterday.
