Okanlawon, Tembe, Orelope back as 3SC drop seven players

A former Nigeria U-17 World Cup winning goalkeeper, Laide Okanlawon (MON) and the duo of goalkeeper Charles Tembe and midfielder Tope Orelope, have rejoined Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.

The trio tops the list of eight players recruited by the Ibadan soccer lords to bolster their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The three players are making a return to the Oluyole Warriors, having previously featured for the team some seasons ago.

Other newly signed players are Ferinyaro Lanre, a defender, Hyacinth Nwankegwu (striker),  Stanley Worlu (midfielder),Taofeek Malomo (midfielder) and Adeyemi Abubakre,  a striker.

Meanwhile, the former Nigeria Professional Football League side has dropped seven players from the squad that represented the club in the aborted 2020 Nigeria National League.

The players dropped are goalkeepers Michael Uweru and Timilehin Adeyoriju, defenders Taiwo Shittu, Adeleke Kazeem and Amana Emmanuel as well as forwards Sanni Nurudeen and Rasheed Kolawole Olaniran.

One of the oldest clubs in Nigerian league, 3SC was relegated from the topflight on the last day of the 2017 NPFL season.
