The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim (CON), is dead.
The king reportedly joined his ancestors at his palace in Okene, on Saturday.
The palace is yet to issue official confirmation on his death. Daily Trust understands that officials are taking some steps in line with tradition before making the news public.
However, a family member confirmed the news of the monarch’s demise in a Facebook post.
In a post, Dr Abubakar Ado -Ibrahim, wrote: “Our most revered father and king ,the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM, Alhaji ,Dr AbdulRahaman Ado Ibrahim (CON) has gone to rest.
“May God Almighty forgive him his short comings,bless and accepts his soul in Aljanah firdous (amin). May the Almighty God grant us all the fortitude to bear the great loss. Rest on Aniku Bogiri.”
The late king was born on February 7, 1929, and attended both western nursery and Quranic schools.
He ascended the throne of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland following the death of Ohinoyi Sanni Omolori of the Oziada clan in 1997.
