Ohaneze youth donate office to police in Bayelsa

The South-South Coordinator of Ohaneze, Chief Chinedu Arthur-Ugwa, said the donation was part of the wing’s support to the force

The youth wing of  Ohaneze in the South-South has built and donated an office building to the newly established Zone 16 headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. 

The South-South Coordinator of Ohaneze, Chief Chinedu Arthur-Ugwa, said the donation was part of the wing’s support to the force.

 

Presenting the building to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Zone, Mr Austin Agbonlahor, Arthur-Ugwa said during his visit to the zonal headquarters, he saw some inspectors working under a tree and after enquiries, he discovered that a roofed structure would help them do their work better.

He said he was moved by the desire to see that police officers were provided good working environment to fight crime in the society.

“This is part of our contribution to the security of Bayelsa State and indeed Nigeria. Our security forces must be encouraged to work,” he said.

He thanked all other Nigerians who supported him in their own little ways to deliver the edifice on time, and urged the public to always support the police force.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in Charge of Zone 16, Mr Austin Agbonlahor, commended the leader of Ohaneze youths, saying the structure would help his men in performing their duties.
