The Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has apprehended suspected illicit drug dealers and recovered sacks of marijuana in Ogun.
The Director of Information and Public Relations of the corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, disclosed this in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
According to him, the Oke Ogun Area Command officers of the corps, while on routine patrol at Abule Sikiru along Igbo-Ora Road in Abeokuta North LGA, spotted four Bajaj motorbikes with three of them carrying 22 sacks and two people on the fourth bike leading the team armed with a variety of charms.
He noted that three suspects escaped while two were apprehended along with the exhibits and the four motorbikes used in the crime.

He said two of the motorcycles were marked ABG 041 DY and MEK 071 QC while the other two were not registered.
“The two apprehended suspects, exhibit (22 sacks of marijuana) and four motorbikes were handed over to the NDLEA, State Headquarters’ team at Alamutu in Abeokuta North LGA for further investigation and likely prosecution,” he said.
