Ogun State government has ordered the immediate closure of an illegal gas skid, Rock Oil and Gas located at 56, Kowope bus stop, off Pakuro road, Mowe, for been sited in a densely populated area.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Ola Oresanya, gave the directive when an enforcement team of the Ministry of Environment comprising of environmental health officers led by Mrs. Bushurat Owodunni carried out the exercise.

Owodunni said the operator had earlier been served an abatement notice, for contravening environmental safety standards, pointing out that the unwholesome act could cause fatalities and destruction of properties if the situation is not urgently addressed.
