Ogun residents feel secure – Army

The Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army (NA), Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta in Ogun State, Brigadier General MT Aminu, has said that residents of the state now feel more secure following the brigade’s peace and security drives.

Gen Aminu explained that the brigade and other security forces had created a peaceful atmosphere in the state, most especially during and after the general elections.

While speaking on Saturday during the 2022 edition of the West African Social Activities (WASA) at the parade ground of the brigade, he said the brigade had an eventful year 2022, especially in its effort at maintaining law and order in the state.

In his welcome address, the Garrison Commander, Colonel Legborsi Needum, described 2022 WASA as a historic, cultural, social and regimental event which promoted rich cultural values and appraisal of the brigade’s activities ahead of the new year.

Our correspondent reports that the social activities featured military and paramilitary parades, drama, comedy, cultural dances and thug of war.
