The police in Ogun State have arrested two men, Azeez Usman and Owolaja Aanuoluwapo, for allegedly buying the stolen car of a couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, who were murdered on January 1, 2022.
Recall that Mr and Mrs Fatinoye were murdered in their house at the Ibara GRA, Abeokuta, and their corpses set ablaze.
The killers also abducted the son of the couple, Oreoluwa Fatinoye, and their adopted son, Felix Olorunyomi, and threw them into a river.
The police had last Friday paraded Lekan Adekanbi, the driver of the deceased couple, and two others, Ahmed Odetola and Waheed Adeniyi, for the alleged killing of the couple and their son.

The suspects during their parade confessed to committing the crime, adding that they sold the couple’s vehicle.
The police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told journalists that, “The suspects later parked the car somewhere in the Oke-Ata area of Abeokuta, but later contacted Owolaja Aanuoluwapo who went there and drove the vehicle to Azeez Usman’s workshop where the car was butchered into pieces and sold in parts.
“Police investigation revealed that the two suspects were duly informed that the car was stolen but they went ahead and bought it at the rate of N150,000.”
