Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun said his administration has paid over N112 billion in pensions and gratuities to retired government officials of both the state and local government.

The governor made this known at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta during the swearing-in ceremony of four new permanent secretaries in the state civil service, stating that his administration would continue to prioritise the welfare of workers in the state.

Abiodun also said his administration would continue to build on the foundation laid in the last four years, noting that the selection process of the permanent secretaries was based on seniority, merit, and the overall interest of the people of the state.

He added that his administration had placed a premium on skill, experience, and honesty, urging the new permanent secretaries to work closely with their commissioners.

“I want to urge our new permanent secretaries to please work very closely, collaboratively, and cordially with your commissioners, it is only by doing this that you will achieve your set objectives.

The four new permanent secretaries sworn in by Governor Abiodun are Mrs Roseline Jacob, Mr Samuel Oyeleye, Mrs Kehinde Akinola, and Mr Oladipupo Ogunfowora.
