Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on Monday night confirmed two new positive cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of cases in the state to six.
Abiodun said the two patients have no history of recent travel or close connection with any positive case in the state.
He disclosed the development negated the erroneous belief that COVID – 19 “is associated with the elite.”
The governor said the two patients who hailed from Obafemi – Owode and Yewa South LGs have been moved to isolation centre in the state.
He also announced suspension of the ongoing lockdown in the state, effective from Tuesday morning.
He said the lockdown will be relaxed between 7am and 2pm to allow for economic activities most especially the daily income earners.
