The Ogun State House of Assembly on Tuesday warned some elite and community leaders against facilitating the release of suspected cultists in police custody.

The Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, handed down the warning during plenary in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

Oluomo was responding to the submission of the Member representing Sagamu 1, Abdul Oladunjoye.

The speaker expressed displeasure over the recent cult clashes in the state, saying it was important to take a drastic action to curb the menace.

He stated that anyone arrested for cultism-related offences should be allowed to face the wrath of the law.
