Ogun Assembly probes ex-LG chairman, officials

The Ogun State House of Assembly has commenced an investigation into alleged financial misappropriation by the former Chairman of the defunct Sagamu South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Barr. Hassan Olugbenga.

 The Assembly, through its Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-corruption, summoned the former LG boss to appear before it on Thursday, to explain his role in the alleged financial infractions committed while in office as specified in the audit queries before the lawmakers.

The House also summoned all councils’ officials involved in the various alleged financial infractions observed in the process of the consideration of the audit reports on the local government councils in the state.

The lawmakers issued the summon through the Permanent Secretary of Local Government Service Commission.
