Newly appointed Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars FC, Coach Evans Ogenyi, has promised to return the Nigeria National League (NNL) side to winning ways.
On Thursday, December 1, the former Warri Wolves coach was announced as the man to lead the technical crew of Kano Pillars who were relegated from the NPFL at the end of the 2022 season.
He has been given the mandate to immediately bring back Pillars to the Nigerian topflight.
Although the task before him may be daunting, the former Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United, Ocean Boys and Enyimba coach said he is in familiar terrain.
“Having coached some of the biggest clubs in Nigeria, I am not a stranger here. I know exactly what to do so I have hit the ground running.
“My target is to make Pillars a dreaded side once again. With the support of the government and people of Kano State, I am sure we would achieve our set goal.
“It is not going to be easy but with what I have seen so far, our mission is not going to be impossible,” he said
Ogenyi will be assisted in his new job by Ibrahim Musa, Ahmed Garba ‘Yaro Yaro’, Gambo Mohammed and Abbas Auwalu.
