Officials flee over APC National Secretariat collapse scare

There was a scare at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday evening over a rumour of building collapse.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that a staffer at the fouth floor of the party’s secretariat raised the alarm that the four-storey building was shaking.

The alarm caused pandemonium as all party officials, security men, staff and journalists were seen scampering for safety and did not return yesterday.

The APC national secretariat is located at Number 40, Blantyre street, Wuse 11, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

An eye witness said: “It’s unfortunate that this has to go to the media. There was nothing like building collapse. There was nothing like the building shaking.

“We have been here for many years but nothing like this has happened. I think something is wrong somewhere”.
