Ododo will carry his cross – Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State yesterday said the governor – elect of the state, Alhaji Usman Ododo, “will carry his cross” while governing the “Confluence State.”

He spoke to State House reporters after the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, led the re-elected Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Ododo for the presentation of their certificates of return to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The incumbent governor assured that he would not interfere in the administration of Ododo as the governor of Kogi State.

When asked whether he would be dictating things for the new governor, Bello said: “In this administration, I have nobody dictating for me; rather, we follow the law, and the rules, and the people are satisfied with me. This is going to be the Usman Ododo administration, good or bad, which I pray is going to be good. He will carry his cross and I know he will do well.”
