The defending African champions will be up against Sudan this afternoon in Khartoum in a make or mar 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Anything less than victory will spell doom for the Super Eagles who are presently third in their group having picked only one point from two matches played so far.
Odegbami said the Eagles in recent times have been anything but super and may find it difficult to get the three points off Sudan.
In addition, he wondered why CAF allowed a match of such magnitude to be taken to an artificial surface.
According to him, the Super Eagles will need luck to survive the odds that are against them in the all important match.
His words “I do not like the setting of this weekend’s match at all. I wonder why CAF would allow a match of this magnitude to be played on artificial turf. This could well spell doom for the Super Eagles”.
Odegbami however wished the Eagles the best of luck in today’s match.
“I do not like it one bit. But good luck Eagles,” he said.
