Ode commends Iorfa on Lobi Stars’ outstanding performances

The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Barrister Sam Ode, has commended the Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, Dominic Iorfa for taking the club from a precarious position to title contenders in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Ode who doubles as the Chairman Lobi Stars also appreciated the Media department of Lobi Stars for projecting the activities of the club in the most professional manner.

He said with the timely and accurate dissemination of information about the club, the Media team had proved sufficiently that football is a media event.

Speaking while receiving the club’s Director of Media, Uja Emmanuel alongside members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), in his office, in Makurdi, Ode urged the Iorfa led management not to relent till the last game in the league just as he pledged Governor Hyacinth Alia’s unflinching support to the club.

Earlier, the Media Director of Lobi Stars said he was in the office of the Deputy Governor to commend him for the support to the club and appreciate Governor Alia for donating four vehicles to ease the movement of the club’s players and officials.

Uja, therefore, seized the opportunity to appeal for more financial support to the club as he said with the prevailing economic situation in the country, it costs so much money to travel across the country for league matches.

Lobi Stars are currently on top of the NPFL table with 42 points from 23 matches.
