Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. James Ocholi, has faulted a report which quoted Kogi State People’s Democratic Party publicity secretary, Bode Ogunmola, as describing his portfolio as a Grade D ministry to the state. The minister, in a statement yesterday by his media aide, Sani Salisu, dissociated himself and the people of Kogi State from the report.
He called on the people of the state and Nigeria at large to support the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration which he stated Kogi has been found worthy to be part of.
“The notion of categorisation of ministries into A, B, C or D or juicy as alleged by the state publicity secretary of PDP is a misconception and style of the PDP-led successive governments where ministers enriched themselves instead of rending national service,” he said.
Ocholi said the ministry would ensure hitch-free labour activities as well as productivity and massive employment in the country.
