Chairman of Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers, Prof. James Ayatse, has said that the late O’ch Idoma, Dr Elias Okoyi Obekpa, has left behind a huge legacy of positive contributions.
Ayatse said those legacies would ensure stability, peace and development of Idoma kingdom such that generations yet unborn shall forever remember him.
The monarch spoke during a condolence visit on the Acting O’ch Idoma, Engr George Aboh Edeh.
He said the entire Idoma kingdom and Benue State shall continue to celebrate the late O’ch Idoma as a selfless father and traditional ruler who ensured a cordial working relationship between Idoma and other ethnic groups in the state.
“We are deeply saddened over this ugly development of his passage and we hope that even in his absence, his spirit shall sustain his love and fatherly care for his kingdom and Benue State as a whole.’’
Responding on behalf of Idoma traditional council, the acting O’ch Idoma said that it was gladdening to hear the overwhelming encomiums poured upon the late O’ch Idoma by the Tor Tiv.
