Oby Ezekwesili, Falana, Nigerians react to Shehu Sani’s revelation of Senators’ monthly pay

A former minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has spoken on disclosure of lawmakers’ take home pay by Senator Shehu Sani.

Sani, who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, had revealed amount he and his colleagues receive monthly.

In a tweet, Oby Ezekwesili said,"Senator ShehuSani has in a rare moment of penance for the financial rascality of our NASS nigeria done partial DISCLOSURE on their GOOD LIFE at the expense of the POOR. He DISCLOSED some of what WE – Citizens – have long ASKED Bukola saraki & Yakubu Dogara to do. MORE REMAINS".

In the same view,a Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mr Femi Falana praised the senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, for his recent disclosure that a member of the Senate receives more than N13 million monthly as running cost.

However, Nigerians took to the social media to air their views on the revelation of Senators’ jumbo salary.

I think Shehu Sani is bad business for Ben Murray-Bruce. How is the common sense Senator to go about his daily populist rants henceforth when the people now know the monthly running cost of the rants?
