Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on the newly inaugurated Delta State Sports Commission to adopt servant leadership and prioritize the development of sports across the state.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, Oborevwori emphasized the need for teamwork and mutual respect among the commission members.
He charged them to create a conducive atmosphere for sports growth while upholding the welfare of athletes and stakeholders.
“You have been chosen to serve the people of Delta State,” the governor stated.

Oborevwori also said, “I urge you to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the welfare of our sportsmen and women by fostering an enabling environment for development.”
He further tasked the board to align its efforts with his administration’s vision of enhancing the lives of Deltans through strategic sports initiatives.
The commission’s leadership comprises Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori as chairman, alongside members Sam Sodje, Herrita Ehiabor, and Oghale Ofremu.
