The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, promises civil servants in the state to increase their monthly salary if there is corresponding increase in the Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.
The governor, who said that he had succeeded in moving the IGR from N500m to N1.2bn monthly, said that further increase to N2.2bn would guarantee increase of staff salaries across board.
Addressing staff of the Local Government Service Commission, recently, Obiano called for dedication and support from the workers.
Obiano assured workers that their salary and leave allowance would be paid before Christmas to enable them enjoy the celebrations with their families.
