Susan Chioma Obasi has set a record at the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Baze University, Abuja with a rare Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 (on a scale of 5.0).
It was a day of celebration of superlative performance as she shared the joy of record breaking, jointly with Ademola Abiodun Ayoola, who equally made a CGPA of 5.0. Both are record holders of 5.0 of the Postgraduate (PG) class of 2024.
Responding to their excellent academic performance, the Founder and Chancellor of the University, Senator Y. Dati Baba-Ahmed (PhD) generously offered both record holder scholarships for a PhD degree programme in Baze University or employment if anyone chooses.
This would be the second time Obasi would emerge as a best graduating student having achieved the overall best graduating student (2017/2018) at her under graduate level in Caritas University, Enugu with a CGPA of 4.82 (on a 5.0 scale).

She was the Valedictorian across four sets in the convocation ceremony of that university.
In her valedictory speech for Baze University, Obasi said: ‘Today, we celebrate not just an academic achievement, but a milestone that marks the beginning of new opportunities and uncharted paths for everyone. I stand here as a living proof that prayer, hard work, persistence, consistency, and focus truly pay off’. It will be recalled that Miss Susan is a past Youthville column freelance writer.
