The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has called on the citizens of the state to fulfill their civic obligations, especially in paying taxes to enable the government finance development projects.
Gov. Obaseki who made the call in his New Year broadcast on Friday, said he was putting in place deep-rooted reforms in the state to engender sustainable development and reconfigure government institutions to better serve the people.
He said the state government would be actively engaging its citizens and private organisations on security of lives and property, as well as driving its urban regeneration initiatives in 2021, adding that his administration was building a “robust security system” to deal with the peculiar challenges facing the state.
