Governor Godwin Obaseki has been inaugurated as governor of Edo State for another term of four years. Obaseki fought his political godfather, Adams Oshiomhole to become governor of the state.
Now that Obaseki has defeated godfatherism, there is no more excuse why he must not deliver on his campaign. He who could blame his non performance during his first term on godfatherism factor but all such ground for alibi is no more.
Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu have all the opportunity to deliver their campaign promises to the people of Edo State.
Politics and campaigns are over; it is now time to settle down for real business of governance in Edo State.
Our expectations are very high and you must not “fall our hands”.
