Four prominent Nigerian leaders, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the Yar’adua family in Katsina State.
The visit was to condole with the immediate family, the Government and people of Katsina state over the passing of Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
The dignitaries who were there at different times, were received by Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport.
During their visit, the leaders offered prayers and condolences to the Yar’adua family, praising Hajiya Dada’s hospitality, kindness, and generosity.
Former President Obasanjo who worked closely with one of the sons of late Hajiya Dada, Late Shehu Musa Yar’adua, fondly remembered the matriarch as a caring mother.
Obasanjo also handed over the mantle of leadership to another son, late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua in 2007 after his eight years of civilian administration.
On their part, Osinbajo, Zulum, and Sambo also shared their fond memories of the late matriarch.
Governor Radda expressed his gratitude to the leaders for their visit, stating that it reflected the unity and compassion that bind Nigerians as a nation.
