Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Sunday, challenged Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to dance at the Government House in Osogbo, the state capital.

Speaking during the commissioning of Government House VIP Lodge in Osogbo, the former President said Adeleke’s dancing attribute is one of the reasons he likes him and that he would keep dancing with Adeleke anywhere he meets him.

The former President however appealed to the governor to ensure that he work hard and deliver on his campaign promises to the people of the state to justify their trust in him.

“Don’t stop dancing. But, please, also keep working. Work very hard to develop Osun State. Your state is one of the most secure in the country. Make sure you work very hard to make Osun great”, Obasanjo said.

He urged the governor not to mind castigating him for dancing but should combine his dancing skills with provision of infrastructure like he is doing presently.

“Some people once despise you that you are a dancer but I said only happy people dance, you are my dancing partner.

“What I have heard and saw since three days ago that I have been here, If anyone is still doubtinv the fact that you are working, bring the person to come and see Osun himself.

“Make sure you prioritize your developmental projects in line with the peoples’ desire, such priorities would attract investment thereby enhancing growth and development of the state.

“Our people have desire to work and invest, they need an enabling environment once you do that, there would job opportunities for the teeming youth population in the state”, he said.

The former President noted that Nigeria is a complex country but not a difficult to rule.

He said the leader only needs to be honest and be a man of good character.

Obasanjo, who reiterated that he is no longer a member of People Democratic Party (PDP), pleaded with leaders and members of the party to unite, work together and speak with with one voice.

While speaking, Governor Adeleke expressed gratitude to Obasanjo for his leadership role, service to the country and support for his administration.
