Former minister of state for defence Musiliu Obanikoro is one of the seven ministerial nominees to the senate by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Report by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) said Kenneth Kobani from Rivers state, Patricia Akwashiki from Nasarawa state made the list.
Obanikoro lost out to Jimi Agbaje in his bid to get the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for Lagos state gubernatorial contest.
