The Oba of Benin, Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, has suspended the Enogie (Duke) of Uhogua in Ovia North East LGA of Edo State, Osagumwenro Eki Eresoyen, after reviewing allegations of misconduct and dereliction of duty against him.
Oba Ewuare II directed the ozukpogieva (second most elderly man) in the village, Pa Omonuwa Moses, to administer the affairs of the village in the interim.

He added that other elders, including the Ohen-Ovia (priest), Pa Festus Omorefe; Pa Isaac Osayande, the ozukpogiehpla (third elderly man); and Pa Samuel Imaruagheru to support the newly appointed enogie.
Oba Ewuare II also enjoined the village elders to make peace and be law-abiding in discharging their duties for the overall development of the area in line with Benin customs and traditions.
