‘Azeigbemi remains Edo PDP Chairman’

Meanwhile, the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the rumoured resignation of its chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, as fake news and a hoax.

The party urged Edo people to ignore the shenanigans of the APC and come out en masse to re-elect the PDP’s candidate on election day.

Speaking with journalists, the media aide to governor Godwin Obaseki, Crusoe Osagie, described the rumour as the fabrication of members of the opposition parties.

“For emphasis, the chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, has not resigned from the PDP.

“He is committed to leading the party to victory, come September 19, with the party’s standard bearer, Governor Godwin Obaseki.

It would be recalled that the social media was awash on Thursday with news of resignation of the state PDP chairman.
