The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has concluded plans to redefine how practitioners in the industry are perceived at the maiden edition of its Conference, Exhibition and Awards.

Stakeholders in the Nigerian Out-of-Home (OOH) ecosystem would also be rewarded for professionalism and creativity at the conference themed ‘Out-of-Home at the Edge’ with the sub-theme ‘OOH Media amidst Security, Political and Economic Uncertainties’.

This, according to the Association’s Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oyekan, will encourage innovation, creativity and professional practice in the industry.

The event scheduled to hold on November 23 will replace the OAAN’s Annual Poster Awards, through which the Association celebrated the creative agencies for their poster creative executions.

To encourage participation by interested operators in the relevant sectors, OAAN has declared open entries for the awards beginning from October 1 – 30, 2022.

Oyekan made known that exhibition stands will be open to visitors and delegates as well as launch of a pioneering advertising industry book by the Association titled ‘Out of Home Advertising Practice in Nigeria’.

In order to give the event the required legitimacy in the industry, OAAN has obtained the full endorsement of all the relevant industry sectoral groups including the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) and Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN).

The sectoral groups have also been given opportunities for full representation on the judging panel and Awards Decision Council.
